Built over 250 years ago, it has been lovingly restored by our family to honor its historic character and craftsmanship, while seamlessly integrating modern comforts. We loved this beautifully restored 1764 house. Our family enjoyed the large rooms, especially bedrooms that are beautiful decorated. We enjoyed sipping coffee on the back porch in the morning with the amazing view of the backyard and all of the birds. It felt like a history museum inside but warm, comfortable and cozy as well. The beds were comfortable, and the master suite was very special. I will definitely rebook!

This home was nothing short of spectacular! Walking through the front door felt like taking a step back in time. It had all the old historic charm but with updated modern amenities, and every single detail of the house was thoughtfully curated. We loved walking around the house and looking at all the art on the walls! We also spent a lot of time enjoying the peacefulness of the outdoors. We picnicked outside by the bubbling stream and sat around the fire pit for hours soaking it all in. I can’t recommend this place enough! It’s the perfect place to gather and fellowship together with friends. We already can’t wait to go back!

The natural beauty of the expansive setting was showcased by highly interesting outbuildings that can only be truly appreciated in-person as guests approach the large main multi-bedroom stone house via a driveway from the country lane. The property’s impressive barn is featured in a Lancaster County publication. The pastoral acreage is sure to calm anyone deciding to stay at the home. Inside, the high ceilings on both floors, wide plank wood floors, period appropriate moldings that accentuate windows and doorways all define a warm and inviting atmosphere. The numerous bathrooms easily gain a 10+ rating having every feature appear new, fresh, and very clean. The kitchen’s fireplace appears well-equipped with cast iron pot hangers and cauldron and all modern appliances are available amid cabinetry finished in warm tones. All the upholstered furniture is very comfortable and the numerous Windsor chairs add to the overall appeal. The entire house definitely embodies authentic patina.
